Rolfing® Structural Integration

Rolfing is the name that Dr. Ida Rolf’s students gave to the work that she called Structural Integration. The basis of the work is aligning one’s physical structure in gravity. This allows a person to be more easily supported, find more fluid movement, and gain more comfort and ease in daily activities and athletic endeavors.

The Basic Series

Dr. Rolf taught her process of Structural Integration as a series of sessions. The usual number is 10-12, with an interval of one week to one month between sessions.

The first visit is a consultation. This will include information about the process, and what to expect. You will also be asked to fill out an information form and bring it with you to the appointment so that you and your Rolfer can discuss relevant medical history before beginning sessions. There is also time to discuss any questions you may have. The cost of the initial consultation is $75.00.

After the consultation, you can decide how you would like to schedule your series. Most people come every two weeks, but anything from a week to a month apart works well. This allows your body time to integrate the changes from the previous session. You can choose the time that feels most comfortable between sessions. Sessions are $150.00.
